I'm Running the Marine Corps Marathon with Team Survive First!

Hi all,

I wanted to do something good and make the world a better place. Did you know that each year, more first responders die by their own hand than any line of duty death? The demanding nature of their duties often exposes them to high-stress situations, trauma, and exposure to critical incidents. Left unchecked, the results can be damaging, and many times deadly. In 2023,162 first responders died by suicide. Survive First is determined to change this statistic and I have joined their team for the 49th running of the Marine Corps Marathon, to raise life-saving and life-changing funds to help them achieve their mission!

That's why I created a fundraiser to support Survive First. I am registered to run the 26.2 mile course in Washington DC, this October, and have committed to raise at least $1,000 for Survive First! Your support would mean so much as I train for this incredible race and cause. Funds raised will benefit Survive First's Treatment Assistance Fund, which provides grants to first responders in need of mental health treatment who would otherwise be unable to access care due to financial hardship. Funds will also benefit their education program, as well as resilience resilience retreats and K9 Companions for First Responders Fund, new to Survive First in 2024.
