Racing to Save Lives
Join me and help make a difference for first responders and their families seeking mental health treatment.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
First responders are those who must meet the challenging demands of their front-line status within roles that represent a collection of various helping professions.
Growing up in a family of first responders, I have seen first hand how incredibly rewarding the job is but also how difficult it can be especially when the public eye is constantly watching your every move. First responders encounter traumatic events and life-threatening situations on a regular basis. Not only is it a physically demanding job, but it also takes a toll on ones mental health. Although first responders have been trained to engage in extreme conditions amid rapid onset of change circumstances, such trainings do not comprehensively address or provide resources for the post-response mental health needs of these professionals. It is estimated that 30% of first responders develop behavioral health conditions including, but not limited, depression and PTSD. You can help make a difference.
Join me in supporting real change. The mission of Survive First is to reduce first responder suicide through quality education, peer support, and mental health and wellness resources, while fostering a greater sense of community and awareness amongst first responders and their supporters.
Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. The funds raised will help normalize the conversation surrounding mental health in the first responder community and save lives as Survive First provides the tools to live a resilient life. Just a small donation will go a long way in helping me reach my goal for Survive First! Lets end the stigma surrounding mental health.
